How to make Christmas lights from scrap Christmas trees
- by admin
Craftsman and decorator Joann Crafts, of the Crafts and Design workshop in Manchester, said she makes Christmas lights using the scraps of Christmas trees.
“You can just take the branches off the trees and you cut them up and put them in a tin with glue,” she said.
The craft has become a favourite for children and grown-ups alike.
“I’ve got kids that are in the age group of six and they come up to me and say ‘oh my gosh, you can’t do that, that’s not the right way, that isn’t how Christmas should be’, so they’re really proud of me and the way I do it,” she told the ABC.
“I’ve been doing it for two years now and I still have the same kind of enthusiasm that I had when I was younger.”
I think my kids love it.
“They like the fact that it’s a little bit of fun.”
